  5. Once the pressure indicator drops and you can remove the lid, simmer for 5 minutes on low heat while mashing the persimmon. If there is a lot of water content, simmer for longer. Please adjust to your liking.
  6. It's done! Transfer to a jar when it cools and enjoy!

You can spread it on pretty much anything and enjoy it with a cup of tea or coffee. Use granulated sugar, or the final jam will have a bad color. Lock the lid and bring up to pressure over medium heat. When it reaches pressure, turn the heat down to low. It's totally fine to make this persimmon jam recipe as a refrigerator or freezer recipe.
